Bengaluru Bulls strategy and planning for PKL 11 player auction

Under the guidance of coach Randhir Singh Sehrawat, Bengaluru Bulls won the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) title in season 6. In the previous (10th) season of PKL, the Bulls finished in 8th position, failing to qualify for the playoffs. But now, as the date has been announced for the PKL 11 player auction, the Bengaluru based franchise will look to build a strong team to win the title.

From PKL season 1 to PKL 10, Bengaluru Bulls has stuck with Randhir Singh Sehrawat for the coaching responsibilities. In PKL 11 too, the Bulls have entrusted Randhir for the head coach role.

In PKL 10, Bulls’ star raider Bharat was out of form. He scored 103 raid points in 18 matches with an average of 5.72. Despite the subpar performance, Bharat is likely to be retained by the management as he has the potential and skills to shine in pressure situations. Additionally, in the upcoming auction Bulls will look to acquire the services of their ex-player Pawan Sehrawat.

Experienced raiders Vikash Khandola and Neeraj Narwal had a poor outing in PKL 10. Vikash scored 68 raid points in 19 matches and Neeraj amassed only 27 raid points in 12 games. Due to this unsatisfactory performance, both players might get released before the PKL 11 auction.

Meanwhile, young raider Akshit has impressed everyone with his raiding skills. He scored 61 raid points in 10 matches and is likely to be retained for the upcoming PKL season. Whereas, experienced raider Abhishek Singh didn’t get enough games to showcase his skills and he may be dropped for the upcoming season.

Bulls’ defenders led by their captain Saurabh Nandal had a satisfactory season. Nandal scored 49 tackle points in 21 games. The experienced Surjeet Singh also known as ‘Dash Specialist’ in Kabaddi world had a great season in PKL 10, he amassed 56 points and 5 High 5s in 21 games. Rann Singh, the ‘Back Hold’ specialist, played fewer games than the other two defenders and showed signs of brilliance. He gathered 25 tackle points in 14 games. All these defenders are the wall of the Bengaluru Bulls and are likely to be retained.

In the PKL 11 player auction, Randhir Sehrawat the strategic mind behind Bengaluru Bulls will look out for adept players. The players Bulls may target in the PKL 11 auction, only if their current teams release them -

1) Pawan Sehrawat (Raider)

2) Pardeep Narwal (Raider)

3) Maninder Singh (Raider)

4) Chandran Ranjit (Raider)

5) Vishal Bhardwaj (Defender)

6) Siddharth Desai (Raider)

7) V Ajith Kumar (Raider)

8) Sagar Rathee (Defender)

9) Sahil Gulia (Defender)

10) Fazel Atrachali (Defender)

Notably, the PKL 11 player auction will be held on the 15th and 16th of August. This player auction provides a good opportunity for Bengaluru Bulls and every other team to build a team worthy of winning the PKL title.
