Did you know these star players have never been sold at PKL Player Auction?

The PKL 11 player has been announced to be held on the 15th and 16th of August. Ahead of the auction, some of the players will be retained by their respective PKL franchises. But most of the players are going to be released as franchises will be looking to add more valuable players to the squad. On the contrary, do you about the players who have been playing in Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) for a long time now but have never been to the auction table?

Bharat (Bengaluru Bulls)

Bharat, the lanky raider has been associated with Bengaluru Bulls since PKL season 8. He has been the mainstay raider for the Bulls since his debut. He was the top raider in PKL season 9 with 279 raid points. Overall, he has played 64 matches and scored 520 points, including 497 raid points and 23 tackle points.

Naveen Kumar (Dabang Delhi K.C.)

Fondly known as ‘Naveen Express’, Naveen Kumar Goyat is one of the most consistent performers in the PKL. He has been associated with the Dabang Delhi KC for the last five seasons. Naveen played a pivotal role in making Dabang Delhi the PKL champion in season 8. In PKL 10 he was ruled out of the tournament due to an injury but in PKL 9 he led the team from the front and took them to the playoffs. He was awarded the Most Valuable Player (MVP) twice, in Seasons 7 and 8, and ranks 6th in the top raiders list with 1005 raid points.

Mohit Goyat (Puneri Paltan)

Mohit Goyat joined Puneri Paltan in season 8 and quickly became the main raider of the team. In his debut season, he scored 187 points and became the Emerging Player of the Season. In PKL 9 he played a crucial role in propelling Puneri to the final. And in PKL season 10 he scored 151 points, including 122 raid points and 29 tackle points. His incredible performance helped Puneri Paltan to lift the title for the first time. In overall PKL career, Mohit has 475 points to his name, which includes 401 raid points and 74 tackle points.

Aslam Inamdar (Puneri Paltan)

Aslam Inamdar has stayed loyal to Puneri Paltan since his debut in PKL season 8. In PKL 10 he was made the captain of the team and he did not let down his coach BC Ramesh. Aslam with his amazing captaincy skills played a crucial role in making Paltan the champion of PKL for the first time. He was also the team’s leading points scorer with 168 points, including 142 raid points and 26 tackle points. He was also adjudged the ‘Most Valuable Player’ (MVP) in PKL 10.

Sumit (U.P. Yoddhas)

Sumit and UP Yoddhas are together since PKL season 7. In his debut season, Sumit scored a remarkable 77 tackle points and was the second best defender of the season. Summit has played 89 matches and scored 254 tackle points. 

Nitesh Kumar (U.P. Yoddhas)

UP Yoddhas signed Nitesh Kumar in PKL season 5. The right-corner defender is the leader of Yoddhas' defence. Just next to his debut season, in PKL 6 he scored 100 tackle points. It’s a record that has not been broken yet. To add to his achievements, he was the first New Young Player (NYP) awardee in PKL 5.

Surender Gill (U.P. Yoddhas)

The star raider of UP Yoddhas, Surender Gill joined the UP-based franchise in PKL season 7. Since then the lanky raider has played a total of 65 matches and scored 510 points. He has been the mainstay raider of Yoddhas along with ‘Dubki King’ Pardeep Narwal. In PKL 10, due to an injury, he participated in only 10 matches.

Neeraj Kumar (Patna Pirates)

Neeraj Kumar joined Patna Pirates in PKL season 7. Patna’s defence has bolstered since his debut, especially the right-cover position where he plays. In his debut season, he scored 59 tackle points and overall he has 172 tackle points to his name.

Narender Kandola (Tamil Thalaivas)

Tamil Thalaivas signed Narender Kandola in PKL season 9 and turned out to be the most important asset of the team. In PKL 9, after the injury to Pawan Sehrawat, Narender Kandola took the raiding responsibility on his shoulder and scored 243 raid points. His incredible performance helped Tamil enter the playoffs. He has accumulated 429 raid points in his PKL career.

Saurabh Nandal (Bengaluru Bulls)

Saurabh Nandal started his PKL career with Bengaluru Bulls in PKL season 7. Since then he has been loyal to the Bulls. In his debut season, he scored 56 tackle points and became the backbone of the Bulls’ defence. Overall he has played a total of 92 matches for Bengaluru Bulls and amassed 246 tackle points.

Ankush (Jaipur Pink Panthers)

The defensive stalwart of Jaipur Pink Panthers, Ankush holds the left-corner position of the team’s defence. He has been associated with the team since PKL season 9. In his debut season, he helped Jaipur to become the champion for the second time. He scored 89 tackle points in PKL and 70 tackle points in PKL 10.
