PKL 2024: Dabang Delhi probable playing 7 for PKL 11

The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 8 champion, Dabang Delhi K.C., is gearing up to take on the mat for the upcoming season. The PKL 11 will begin on October 18 and Dabang Delhi is preparing to clinch another title. To achieve glory in the PKL 11, the Delhi-based franchise has built a strong squad and can form a balanced playing 7.

Ahead of the PKL 11 player auction, the Dabang Delhi parted ways with their regular head coach Rambir Khokher. Furthermore, they promoted Joginder Narwal to the position of head coach. Joginder was the skipper of Dabang Delhi when they won the PKL title in season 8. 

Under the guidance of Joginder Narwal, the team has retained their star raiding duo, Naveen Kumar and Ashu Malik. In PKL 10, both played a few games together as Naveen got injured mid-season and had to pull out of the tournament. But Ashu stepped up and filled Naveen's shoes while being captain of the team. 

In the PKL 11 player auction, Dabangs bought Siddharth Desai, a prolific raider fondly known as ‘Bahubali’. Siddharth will be playing the role of supporting raider to his potential captain ‘Naveen Express’. While Ashu Malik will be the team’s second main raider, it means Siddharth will be the third raider.

To support the team’s offensive department Dabang Delhi has a very strong defensive lineup. At the right-corner, Delhi has Yogesh Dahiya. Yogesh has impressed everyone will his skills in the previous season where he amassed 74 tackle points, including 5 High 5s and 6 Super Tackles. The other corner of the mat, left-corner will be held by Ashish Malik. He got to show his skills in the previous season and earned 48 tackles in 19 games, including 4 High 5s and 2 Super Tackles.

The covers position in Delhi’s defence will be taken care of by Himmat Antil, Vikrant, and Gaurav Chhillar. For the left cover position Himmat and Vikrant are there, and for Gaurav will look after right-cover position.
