Where are the captains of PKL season 1 now?

The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) has completed 10 years and now the date of PKL 11 has also been announced. During this time, the PKL has achieved immense success in its history of 10 years. Notably, the PKL started in 2014 with a total of 8 teams (Bengal Warriors, Bengaluru Bulls, Dabang Delhi, Jaipur Pink Panthers, Patna Pirates, Puneri Paltan, U Mumba and Telugu Titans). 1. Nilesh Shinde (Bangal Warriors)

Nilesh Shinde was named captain of the Bengal Warriors in the first season of Pro Kabaddi League. During this time the team finished 7th and he was last seen playing in season 5. Shinde was scheduled to be part of PKL's sixth season auction, but his name was withdrawn at the last minute. Now he is completely away from the league.

2. Manjeet Chhillar (Bengaluru Bulls)

In the first season of PKL Manjeet Chhillar was the captain of Bengaluru Bulls and he successfully led his team into the semi-finals. Manjeet was last seen in PKL 9 as the assistant coach for Telugu Titans. However, after the team's poor performance, management removed him from the post and now he is the brand ambassador of Indian Premier Kabaddi League (IPKL) 2024.

3. Jasmer Singh Gulia (Dabang Delhi)

Jasmer Singh Gulia was assigned the captaincy of Dabang Delhi in the first season of Pro Kabaddi League. During this time Dabang Delhi finished 6th, winning a total of 5 out of 14. He has retired from PKL and is currently employed in the Haryana Police.

4. Navneet Gautam (Jaipur Pink Panthers)

In the first season of PKL, Captain Navneet Gautam won the title for the Jaipur Pink Panthers. Navneet Gautam, who was last seen on the mat in Pro Kabaddi League season 5, was awarded the Arjuna Award in 2019. He has not been seen in PKL since then.

5. Rakesh Kumar (Patna Pirates)

In the first season of Pro Kabaddi League, Patna Pirates reached the semi-finals under the captaincy of Rakesh Kumar. During this time Patna Pirates won 7 of 14 matches. Rakesh Kumar was later appointed head coach of the Haryana Steelers, but before PKL 9, management removed him from this position. Currently, according to his social media he can be seen in local Kabaddi tournaments.

6. Wazir Singh (Puneri Paltan)

Under the captaincy of Wazir Singh, Puneri Paltan finished 8th in the first season of Pro Kabaddi League. The team was successful in winning only 2 matches. No information is available regarding the current status of Wazir Singh, who was part of Haryana Steelers in PKL 6 for the last time.

7. Anup Kumar (U Mumba)

The captaincy of the U Mumba team was given to then Indian-captain and now-legend Anup Kumar. They made it to the finals in the first season of PKL. However, the team suffered a loss to the Jaipur Pink Panthers in the final match. After playing the head coach of the Puneri Paltan team in PKL 7 and 8, Anoop Kumar is now seen training young players at Kabaddi Academy. 

8. Rajguru Subramanian (Telugu Titans)

In the first season of PKL, Rajguru Subramaniam was appointed captain of the Telugu Titans. During this time Telugu Titans was ranked 5th in the points table. Rajguru was last seen as the head coach of U Mumba in PKL 8. After this, he has also been seen in many sporting events and interviews.
