PKL 2024: Tamil Thalaivas roped-in Chandran Ranjit, Announces Sagar as captain for PKL 11

Tamil Thalaivas bought Sachin Tanwar for ₹2.15 Cr, making him the most expensive player for the PKL 11. Thalaivas has also roped in experienced raider Chandran Ranjit and young talent Masanamuthu Lakshmanan to bolster their squad. Meanwhile, the franchise has announced Sagar Rathee as their captain. 

Ahead of the PKL 11 player auction, Tamil Thalaivas changed their coaches. The franchise roped in Udaya Kumar as their head coach and also signed Dharmaraj Cheralathan as their strategy coach. Both helped the franchise retain their squad's core and add valuable players at the player auction.

During the PKL 11 player auction, Thalaivas signed Sachin Tanwar for ₹2.15 Cr, making him the most expensive player in PKL 11. The addition of Sachin made their offence stronger as they had retained Narender Kandola. Additionally, the franchise has now roped in experienced raider Chandran Ranjit to make their offence even stronger. Furthermore, Thalaivas have also added Masanamuthu Lakshmanan to their squad.

The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 11 will kick off on 18 October and Thalaivas is ready to rock the PKL 11 stage with the offensive trio of Sachin, Narender, and Chandran. The team has one of the best defensive units for the PKL 11. They have Sagar Rathee, Sahil Gulia, M Abhishek, and Mohit as their defence wall. 

 

The franchise has announced Sagar Rathee as team captain, whereas, Sahil Gulia and Sachin Tanwar are named co-vice captains of the team. Sagar is the right-corner defender of the team and has performed regularly for the Thalaivas. Sahil, on the other hand, is the left-corner defender who has been the mainstay corner for the team since season 8.

Sachin Tanwar is the newest addition to the Thalaivas and is expected to be their key player in PKL. In the world of Kabaddi, Sachin is also known as a Do-or-Die Raid Specialist. He has the most 233 do-or-die raid points to his name. This ability shows how calmly and composedly Sachin can handle any pressure situation. 

The Tamil Thalaivas are geared up and this season they aim to clinch their first-ever PKL title. The PKL 11 will start on 18 October and will be played at three different venues- Gachibowli Indoor Stadium (Hyderabad), Noida Indoor Stadium (Noida), and Balewadi Badminton Stadium (Pune).
