PKL 2024: Haryana Steelers probable playing 7 for PKL 11

As per the speculation, PKL 11 is scheduled to begin on 18 October 2024. The finalist of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 10 Haryana Steelers are gearing up to finally win their maiden title. To achieve success in PKL 11, the Steelers have retained their key players from PKL 10 and bought some amazing talent to form a perfect playing 7.

The Haryana-based franchise has once again trusted Manpreet Singh with coaching responsibilities. Under his guidance, the team has successfully retained their captain Jaideep Dahiya, and an amazing cover defender, Rahul Sethpal, the defensive wall at the right corner. 

In PKL 10, the Haryana Steelers were known for their strong defence. To further enhance the defence, Manpreet has bought defensive maverick Mohammadreza Shadlou for a whopping ₹2.07 crores. The left-corner defender Shadlou has scored a mind-blowing 99 tackle points in PKL 10.

The Steelers are going through a confusing phase as ahead of the PKL 11 player auction they have retained Mohit Nandal, but soon after the auction, they released him. The reason for releasing Nandal is still unknown, however, there are rumours of injury concerns with him. 

If Mohit Nandal would be part of the Haryana Steelers in PKL 11, then they may have their dream defensive unit. First, they have Mohammadreza Shadlou at the left-corner, Rahul Sethpal will look after the right-corner position, Jaideep Dahiya is the left-cover defender and Mohit Nandal would have been their right-cover. But now Sanjay would handle the right-cover position.

The offensive department of the Haryana Steelers seems a bit weak. Although they have Vinay and Shivam Patare to rescue them, they are still young raiders who may not handle the pressure cautiously. Vinay scored 163 raid points and Shivam Patare earned 116 raid points last season. The third raider of the team would be Vishal Tate, who got limited chances in PKL 10. Notably, all three raiders have been retained by the franchise.

The major drawback in the Haryana Steelers squad is, that they don’t have backup players ready. If any of their starting 7 players get injured then they don’t have any potential backup who can fill in their shoe.
