With Pro Kabaddi Season 7 auctions scheduled on 7th and 8th April speculations are doing the round on retentions of players by franchise. Puneri Paltan's season 6 retention strategy was applauded but team failed to deliver. Puneri Paltan will surely release Nitin Tomar and may retain Girish Ernak.
Girish Ernak in season 6 played 20 matches and scored 57 points with the average of 2.6 points per match in 113 tackle attempts. Girish was retained by Puneri at 49.10 lakhs and with 10-12 increment at 53-55 lakhs he is valuable. Talking about Sandeep Narwal, Puneri Paltan may release him as last year itself his retention price was higher at 72.6 lakhs. Puneri Paltan may choose to RTM him at a cheaper price in auctions.
In attack Puneri Paltan might retain GB More who was impressive at the price he was bought in season 6. GB More played 22 matches and scored 91 points with average of 3.59 points per match. He was retained by Puneri Paltan at 13.57 lakhs and with the change in retention policy he may cost little higher at 25-30 lakhs, but still a valuable choice of retention.
Another 2 raiders Puneri Paltan may think of retaining are Akshay Jadhav and Monu. Puneri Paltan bought Akshay Jadhav for 8 lakhs in season 6 and retained Monu at 6.6 lakhs. Based on the new retention policy Puneri Paltan may choose to retain or RTM.
