Top 5 players on which Telegu Titans can go Big in PKL 10 Auction

Telegu Titans are among the only 6 teams in Pro Kabaddi League to not win the competition for even once in the last 9 seasons. The South-Indian outfit will be looking to break their Title curse in the landmark 10th season set to start from later this year.

But they will have to ensure a decent Auction for that. Titans have almost a whole squad to pick from the Player pool which contains more than 500 names. They have retained 6 players from the previous season, having 2 raiders and 3 defenders.

Rajnish Dalal and Vinay Redhu are retained as the only 2 Raiders Parvesh Bhainswal, the only elite player is accompanied by Covers Mohit and Nitin. For a fact, Telegu Titans did raise plenty of eyebrows when they announced their retained players list.

They released the likes of Siddharth Desai, Vishal Bhardwaj, Abhishek Singh, Surjeet Singh, Monu Goyat and Ravinder Pahal, all of whom were core players of the team. Telegu will have the option of bringing any 3 players back thanks to their FBM Card.

Telegu will have to take a very wise decision when using the FBM card as they have the option of bringing a senior raider or defender back but that will also depend upon the price on which they are getting sold.

Their best ever finish in PKL has been at Number 2 but its been 5 seasons since they last finished in Top 3. As a matter of fact, the Titans have finished 11th, 12th and 12th in the previous 3 seasons.

Last year they collected only 15 points, winning 2 matches and losing 20. With more than 3 Crores remaining in their purse, here are 5 players that Telegu Titans can buy in Pro Kabaddi League season 10 Auction.

1. Girish Maruti Ernaik: The Maharashtra born Defender is a good option when it comes to filling up the Left-corner spot. Telegu Titans are in no such need of signing a front line Defender who also serves as the captain, thanks to the presence of Parvesh Bhainswal.

Girish Maruti is an experienced and strong name who performed very well last season for the Bengal Warriors. He scored 50 tackles points in 18 matches last term and was the 11th best defender of the season. He will be a good buy if Bengal do not use their FBM card.

2. Vikas Kandola: Season 9's second most expensive buy Vikas Kandola was surprisingly left out of Bengaluru Bulls squad when they released the Retained players list. Though Kandola had a difficult last season but he has no shortage of talent and skills to better his performance this year.

He can be put alongside Siddharth Desai (if Telegu use their FBM card) and Kandola can also be used as a Main raider, something he could not enjoy last year. He scored above 120 raid points in Season 9 and we can see a number of teams tussle for his services and Telegu can get into the mix because of a healthy purse.

3. Sandeep Dhull: Another Left-corner that Telegu Titans can pursue is youngster Sandeep Dhull. The 23-year-old has mastered the technique of Back holds, Chain blocks and diving knee holds. He brings in fresh youth bolstered by 6-years of experience in PKL.

He played very less matches last season, scoring 31 tackle points in 17 matches. He has played for Dabang Delhi, Telegu Titans and Jaipur Pink Panthers with his highest scoring season coming in Season 7 when he amassed 74 tackle points in 22 matches, which was the number of last year's 2nd Best defender Mohammadreza Chiyaneh.

4. Shubham Shinde: Right Corner Shubham Shinde comes up as a very good option of forming up a duo with Girish Maruti Ernaik, who plays as Left-corner. Shinde made his PKL debut in Season 6 with Puneri Paltan.

He moved to Patna Pirates after 2 years since joining Pune before Bengal Warriors bought him in Season 9 auction. He is yet to hit his peak and showed immense improvement in his numbers last term.

He experienced his best year in season 9 when he scored 44 tackle points in 20 matches. Telegu Titans head coach Srinivas Reddy can use Shubham's best traits - Blocking and Dashing raiders off the mat.

5. Maninder Singh: Mighty Mani's inclusion here should not come as a surprise because even if Telegu miss out on Vikas Kandola, the Titans do have the option to buy Season 9's 5th Best raider.

He collected 238 raid points last year in Bengal's poor finish to the season. Teams will hurry in order to bring him to their side and Telegu Titans with the Top 5 highest purse can definitely go after him.
