Khelo India is an initiative by the Government of India to encourage youngsters to take up sports. Under the Khelo India initiative, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports organized various events like Khelo India Youth Games in 2018, 2019 & 2020, and Khelo India University Games in 2020 to give the youngsters a platform to showcase their skills. With the opportunity, talented players will also be given financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakh per annum for eight years to continue their training. The teams of Haryana, Maharashtra, and Delhi have been dominant in the Khelo India Youth Games in the three editions. However, many students/athletes are unaware of how to participate in the Khelo India Games across various categories.
