The teams from Haryana showed complete dominance in all the four categories of Kabaddi to win four gold medals at Khelo India Youth Games 2020. Haryana won in the Boys Under-17, Girls Under-17, Boys Under-21, and Girls Under-21 categories to clinch all the four medals of Kabaddi at the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education in Sonapur.
In the first final match of the day between Haryana and Tamil Nadu in the girls' Under-17 category, the Haryana girls registered a 25-20 win. The Under-17 boy's final was a relatively easier affair for Haryana as they went past Rajasthan 42-26 in the finals. It was a complete show by Haryana in the finals as they picked up on raid as well as tackle points.

The Haryana vs Himachal Pradesh match of the Under-21 girls was one of the nail-biting encounters of the tournament. Both the teams went toe to toe against each other in the entire match. As Himachal looked to take a slight lead of a point or two, Haryana would come from behind and equalize the scores and vice versa. The match went into extra time as the 40-minutes ended with the scores being leveled at 27-27.
In the extra time, both the teams were again picking up a point on every raid. However, some strong display of defense from the Haryana girls gave them an edge over Himachal. The Haryana team won the match 35-32 as the final whistle blew. In what was one of the best matches of the category, it saw Himachal Pradesh give an extremely tough fight to the Haryana team.

The encounter between two Kabaddi heavyweights of the country, Haryana, and Maharashtra was no less than a Pro Kabaddi match. It was a close encounter between the two with the scores being level after every minute of the match. It looked like this match would also go into extra time.
Maharashtra team was full of famed players like Ajay Patil, Aslam Inamdar, Raju Kathore, Vaibhav Garje, Sourabh Patil (C), Shubham Shinde and Pankaj Mohite. On the other side of the mat were Aman, Anuj Kumar, Deepak, Neeraj, Parteek Dahiya, Saurabh (C) and Sushil.
The match changed in the last five minutes of the game as Haryana suddenly started to play a faster game. From 25-25, they went on to take multiple points in the raids as well as managed to pick up super tackles. Maharashtra was taken on backfoot as Haryana inflicted a total of three all-outs on them, one of which came in the final moments of the match. Haryana went on to win the match 41-27 and clinched the fourth gold medal in Kabaddi.
