With Pro Kabaddi Season 7 auctions scheduled on 7th and 8th April speculations are doing the round on retentions of players by franchise. Dabang Delhi's corners Joginder Narwal and Ravinder Pahal are the most experienced and skill-full defenders and both are category A players its tricky for Dabang Delhi whom to retain.
Outside PKL in last 3 tournaments, Railways Interzone, Senior Nationals and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Championship Ravinder Pahal was incredibly good. Looking at his performance Dabang Delhi should retain him but historically non of the teams have retained Ravinder Pahal and its likely Dabang Delhi will release him and later RTM in the auctions.
Joginder Narwal may be thr retention choice for Dabang Delhi, he played 22 matches scored 51 points with average of 2.13 in 111 tackle attempts and as a captain had a good control on the team. Dabang delhi bought Joginder Narwal for 33 lakhs and with 10-12% increment at 36-38 lakhs he is valuable.
In attack the sensational young raider Naveen will be the first, whom Dabang Delhi will choose to retain. Naveen played 22 matches, scored 177 points with the average of 7.81 points per match in 307 raid attempts. With the likely change in the retention price, as an NYP Naveen will be a beneficiary as his retention price may be in the range of 25-30 lakhs. At this price Naveen is a valuable asset for Dabang Delhi.
Dabang Delhi mat retain 1 of the another 2 raiders Meraj Sheykh and Chandran Ranjit, though the retention cost of both the players is little high in the range of 71-75 lakhs. Dabang Delhi might retain one and RTM another in the auctions.
