In the final match played at Sanjauli College, the team of HPU dominated the first half and kept the lead on till the end.

In the third position match, Punjabi University Patiala's team defeated Mumbai University by 26-15 and won bronze medal. 

Earlier Governor Acharya Devvrat inaugurated the All India inter-university women’s Kabaddi championship at the Centre of Excellence College, Sanjauli. The Governor while congratulating the organizers for organizing this national level championship for the first time in Shimla said that ‘Mini India’ could be seen through this event where 16 teams across the country were participating. He said that games always create excitement, emotions and liveliness and the players should play every sport with a spirit of true sportsmanship.

“The objective of sports event is to awaken the younger generation for good health and discipline”, said Acharya Devvrat.
