Delhi Senior State Kabaddi Championship Tournament went underway on 3/4/2021 in Delhi's Sarita Vihar- organised by Sarita Vihar Kabaddi Association, Southeast district. This tournament featured 11 districts from Delhi in both Men and Women sections. This is the first time that Delhi State Kabaddi Association is organizing a state selection tournament for the selection of players who will play the 68th Senior National Kabaddi Championship. This tournament featured big names in the likes of  Mohit Chhillar, Ashish Chhokar, Amit Chhillar, Pritam Chhillar, Vikas Chhillar, Neeraj Narwal, Mohit Sehrawat  among others. 

The Women final went underway at Janta Grounds with Alipur Kabaddi Association and Dwarka Kabaddi Association going head to head. The highly anticipated final went under way and Dwarka were soon to take advantage and took the lead away from Alipur, who were an young side in the tournament who surprised everyone with their performances. Alipur from there on played the catching up game but they were always falling short. Dwarka were clinial with their performance in a high pressure final and took the game away from Alipur to win the finals with a missive score difference of 21 points. This also made Dwarka unbeaten in the competition to clinch the title. 

Next followed the Men's final where similar to Women's line up it was again Dwarka facing off against Alipur in the final of Men's section from Delhi Senior State Kabaddi Championship. The game started off on a neck to neck to note but Alipur soon went ahead in the game by taking a good lead in the first half itself. Neeraj Narwal and Vijay Malik took charge and helped Alipur get the lead in the all-important final. At the end of first half the scores read 26-15 in favor of Alipur. The 2nd half began with Alipur gaining further control in the game and Neeraj Narwal on the move with a brilliant super raid to push the lead even further. The game went out of reach to Dwarka as they crumbled in the final. Alipur went on to win the game by 13 points.

• Women Final- Dwarka vs Alipur: 40-19

• Men FInal-  Alipur vs Dwarka: 47-34

The two day event came to an end with Alipur and Dwarka winning the Men and Women section respectively in the Delhi Senior State Kabaddi Championship. The tournament turned out be a great event organised by Delhi Kabaddi Association and Sarita Vihar Kabaddi Association which saw intense Kabaddi that was played by the players. Special Mention to all the players who turned up and performed in his heat which was over the roof.
