Jaipur Pink Panthers hang on to their unbeaten streak against the Tamil Thalaivas defeating them 28-26 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday. A lot of words were exchanged coming into the match by either team and it was evident as the match unfolded. Nilesh Salunke emerged as the hero of the match with 7 raid points under his belt.

The first half of the match was a cat and mouse encounter, where both teams tried to inch ahead only to be denied by the opposition. Nitin Rawal with his heroics in defense and raiding department gave Jaipur a prominent lead to the start of proceedings. Vineet Sharma replaced Manjeet Chhillar in the left cover performed above everyone's expectations for the Thalaivas. Ajay Thakur was the best of the raiders in the first half fetching 5 points, whereas Deepak Hooda struggled for a single raid point.

2 super tackles are what kept Jaipur marginally ahead of the Tamil Thalaivas, which ended the first half 11-13 in favor of the Pink Panthers.

All out by Rahul Chaudhari at the beginning of second half leveled things up for the Thalaivas which also shifted the momentum in their favor. Nilesh Salunkhe with his consecutive bonus points unsettled the defense of the Thalaivas, accompanied by his teammate Vishal's exceptional defensive display gave Jaipur a cushioning lead in the dying minutes of the second half. Most successful defender of the league Sandeep Dhull tackled Rahul Chaudhari in the last few seconds to put the final nail in the coffin for the Tamil Thalaivas. Jaipur Pink Panthers had the last laugh defeating the Tamil Thalaivas 28-26.

Jaipur Pink Panthers has the upper hand going into the encounter winning both the previous matches against the Tamil Thalaivas. Raiding trio of Ajay Thakur, Rahul Chaudhari and Ajith Kumar pose a  big challenge for the defence of Jaipur, lead by Amit Hooda and Sandeep Dhull.
