Naveen Kumar was once again the star for the Delhi outfit as the young raider picked up his 17th consecutive "Super 10". He also became the fastest player to secure 400 raid points in the match. Delhi, as expected, started on an aggressive note with their Naveen looking unstoppable. The 19-year-old displayed a flawless performance and picked points at will, pulling out all the acrobatic moves in the process as the Delhi side inflicted an "All-Out" on Pune in the 7th minute of the match. The Anup Kumar-coached side who are all but out of contention for the playoffs missed the services of their star raider Pankaj Mohite, who missed out due to fever.
Meanwhile, Delhi's star defender Ravinder Pahal completed his 50 Tackle points in the season. Delhi secured their second 'All-Out' at 13th minute in the first half to open a 14-point lead. Manjeet was once again the only positive player on the mat for Pune but his valiant efforts were not enough. The first half ended 30-16 in favor of the Dabang Delhi.
Dabang Delhi K.C. scored the most points by a team in Vivo PKL7 by reaching the 60-point mark.

The Second half turned out to be much of the same with Delhi dominating the proceeding in all departments. Chandran Ranjit secured his "Super 10" as the Delhi clinched another 'All-Out' at the 31st minute of the second half to all but seal the match. Balasaheb Jadhav got a high 5 for Pune but it eventually led to another "All-Out" with slightly more than five minutes remaining in the match. Pune's loss meant their hopes of a playoff berth ended while Delhi ensured they remain in the top two of the league irrespective of whatever happens in the remaining matches.
