Mahindra and Mahindra and Shivshakti kabaddi teams lift the Mumbai Mayor Championship. 

Mahindra and Mahindra won the Mens category defeating Central Railway (Mumbai D). The match started with M&M playing aggresively which showed by the time half time approached as they were leading 25-11. In the second half, Central Railway came back with a plan and even acted on it, they managed to squuze the lead to only 3 points, but in the end, M&M outclassed them to win the match 38-32 as Ruturaj Koravi was excellent at defending.

In the womens match, Shivshakti faced off against the Rajmata Jijau kabaddi team. Both the teams had strong defensive lineup, because of which this was a low scoring match. By the halfitme rolled in, the match was tied at 10 points apiece. But Shivshakti'sm raiders were too much to handle for the defence of Rajmata Jijau team, as they scored some important raiding points and destroyed the Rajmata Jijau team defence to get the team a lead of 32-17.
