The 67th Senior National Kabaddi Championships will begin from the 2nd of March 2020. The matches are scheduled to take place at Poornima University, Jaipur and the tournament will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Mr. Ashok Gehlot. Organized by the Rajasthan State Kabaddi Association, the tournament will go on till the 6th of March.
A total of 61 teams will be participating in the tournament. These include 31 teams from the men's division and 30 teams from the women's division. Defending champions in both the categories, the Indian Railways, will also be a part of this edition of the games and would look to lift the trophy for the second consecutive year.
The men's teams have been divided into eight groups while the women's teams are in seven groups. Every team will play one match against all the members of the group, with the two top teams from each group moving to the pre-quarterfinals. The league matches are scheduled to be played from 2nd to 4th of March while the pre-quarters and quarterfinals will be played on the 5th of March. On the last day of the tournament, the semifinals will be played, followed by the finals.
