The Sports Authority of India emerged as the winners of the boys' final against Uttar Pradesh to win the Junior National Kabaddi Championships 2020. In what was a closely fought encounter, the SAI boys clinched a 37-32 victory in a thrilling encounter. SAI had earlier thrown out the defending champions Chandigarh in the semi-final encounter.
The Maharshi Dayanand University in Rohtak witnessed a breathtaking encounter which started with SAI taking up the first points of the match. UP opened their account with a multi-point raid from Nitin Panwar. With back to back successful raids, UP took a slender lead in the match and extended it when they inflicted the first all-out on SAI. UP managed to keep the lead and were leading by eight points at 20-12 as the first half ended.

SAI played catch up in the second half as UP started to get away with the match. In the final minutes of the match, SAI inflicted an all-out on the North Indian state to reduce the score difference by only two points. Meetu then scored three back to back successful raids and got SAI into the lead with second all-out on UP in the final minute of the match. Having a substantial lead in most of the match, UP failed to convert that into a win after what was a dream performance for them throughout the tournament.
Meetu remained the star for the SAI team as the youngster went on to score 14 points from 28 raids. In the defense, Karamvir scored five tackle points from eight attempts. He was adjudged with the Player of the Match award while Meetu won the Raider of the Match. UP's Akash Nain was named the Best Do-or-Die raider.
