Dream 7 Preview for Puneri Paltan Vs. UP Yoddha, Prokabaddi season 6, match number 32

This Super Sunday at Pro Kabaddi marked the start of the Inter-Zone Challenge week where teams from Zone A take on Zone B and it's been topsy turvy right through with a few upsets along the way already!

Following a shock defeat at the hands of the Tamil Thalaivas last night, the Puneri Paltan will be looking to hit back very hard in this Inter Zone match but it will be a hefty opposition in the form of the UP Yodhas with the raiding trio of Rishank, Prashant and Shrikant Jadhav firing and the young corner combination of Nitesh & Sagar working together beautifully. The only meeting between these two teams in PKL 5 ended in a narrow 1-point win for Pune. This match will see a face-off between two raiders, Nitin Tomar & Rishank who were teammates last year and were the lead raiders of UP Yoddha in PKL 5. Nitin Tomar (PUN) is leading raid point scorer overall for the season while Rishank Devadiga (UP) is 10th at the moment but has captained his team brilliantly and utilised his other two raiders in Shrikant & Prashant Rai really well.

We saw UP Yodha strategically avoid the presence of Surjeet in the right cover when they played the Bengal Warriors by using their left raiders toward the end of the match but this will be hard to do tonight since Girish Ernak will play the Left Cover & possibly Left Corner at times making it hard work for the left raiders. Therefore Rishank has the opportunity to score some points even though the man up against him Ravi Kumar has been in great form for Pune.

Rishank Devadiga has a very good record against 2 out 3 key defenders of Pune: 15-10 vs Girish Ernak and 7-1 vs Ravi Kumar but against Sandeep Narwal he has a negative head-to-head of 7-14 which is why I have entered a 3rd team with the option of Sandeep Narwal in case he has recovered from his illness which looks likely.

Younger players such as More GB, Akshay Jadhav, Monu and Rinku Narwal have been given many opportunities of playing over veterans such as Rajesh Mondal and even Sandeep and have responded with strong performances. Monu and Akshay Jadhav are both utility players and have contributed in both raiding and defending so far for the team and have proved vital in crucial situations too.
