Sourabh Patil is a Kabaddi player from the state of Mahrashtra. He plays as a right raider all-rounder for Pro Kabaddi franchise Bengal Warriors. He was a part of the team when they lifted the Pro Kabaddi Season 7 title. Hailing from Kolhapur, Sourabh is also a part of the Shivaji University Kabaddi team. He had also played for Maharashtra at the Khelo India Games and had won a bronze medal.

Childhood and Early Life

Sourabh has been interested in sports since his childhood. He was a part of the Kho-Kho team. However, due to a shortage of players in the school Kabaddi team in the 8th standard, his coach insisted him to moving to Kabaddi. It was no looking back for the youngster since then. He realized that Kabaddi is his calling after an injury he had while getting tackled by his brother, Shubham.

Since Sourabh did not get the support from his family in the initial days, he used to practice behind their back and improved the game. With improvement in his game, Sourabh started winning tournaments for his team and also started winning awards for raiding. This changed his family's mind and Sourabh has received nothing but appreciation from everyone since then.

Sourabh Patil Kabaddi Career

Sourabh practices Kabaddi at Hindvi Pratihthan Club under the guidance of coach Yuvraj Patil. He specializes in a hand touch and has been creating trouble for the opposition defensive players. Sourabh was a part of the Maharashtra boys' Kabaddi team that won the bronze medal at the Khelo India Games. 

He earned a place in the Bengal Warriors team as a New Young Player. The youngster made his debut for the franchise in the PKL Season 7 and played three matches. He went on to score a total of 17 points in the season, which included an amazing Super 10 performance. 

With Maninder Singh as his idol, Sourabh plans to become a big star like him and play the way Maninder does.
