Praveen, Randeep help Narwal Kabaddi & Sports Academy secure their 3rd win by defeating table-toppers Amit Ashok Academy. After being undefeated in the previous 4 matches, AAA gets their first defeat of K7 Kabaddi StageUp 2021.
With the start of the game, AAA started in the same fashion as usual dominating through their defense. They scored points regularly and got a good lead whereas NKSA started slowly. We witnessed a close first 10 minutes where defense of both teams looked solid. But then AAA inflected first the all-out and got a lead of 7 points with the score being 10-17. NKSA’s raiders looked completely out of touch in the first half, scoring only 3 raid points. The first half ended with the lead of 10 for AAA.
After looking in a comfortable position with a solid lead, NKSA’s Praveen scored a raid point getting a good start in the 2nd half. AAA’s Ankit scored few more points leaving out 3 men for NKSA on the mat and had a chance for another all-out. But next came the moment of the match from where NKSA flipped the match to their side with a super tackle by Monu and Randeep and saved the team’s all-out and got 2 crucial points. The change in momentum helped NKSA score more points from there and put pressure on AAA’s raiders. AAA’s captain, Mohit made few judgmental errors which costed AAA and gave another chance to NKSA and scored an all-out, which equaled the score from the stage where they were trailing by 12 points. NKSA’s defense looked solid in 2nd half as they made it tough for AAA’s raiders to get touchpoints. With the scores level and 10 minutes to go, AAA changed their strategy by playing on do-or-die raids and using the time to take the game deep. But for this, NKSA’s Praveen scored 3 consecutive raid points and got the game to their side.
A great comeback By NKSA helped them to beat table-toppers by crucial 7 points. Praveen was the player of the match with his all-around performance with 7 points. Randeep scored 7 tackle points scoring a high 5. AAA’s Ankit scored 7 points. AAA got their first defeat of the tournament which will help them to analyze where they went wrong after being in such good form.
