The Himachal Pradesh state Kabaddi Association announced the team for the 67th Senior National Kabaddi Championships. The tournament is all set to take place in Jaipur from the 2nd to the 6th of March 2020. It will see a participation of about 55 teams from all over India.
Former Indian Kabaddi team captain Ajay Thakur will make a comeback on the Kabaddi mat after he was included in the Himachal Pradesh men's team. Thakur has been out due to an injury after Pro Kabaddi Season 7 and was also not a part of the Indian team that won the gold medal at the 2019 South Asian Games in Nepal. It is most likely that the DSP of the Himachal Pradesh Police will be leading his team at the Senior Nationals.
With two wins and two losses in four matches last year in Roha, Himachal Pradesh did not have an outing they would have wanted. However, with a stronger team this year, the Himachal men would be looking to better their performance from last year and finish off in a better place.
Apart from Thakur, the team comprises of another 15 players. Out of the total 16, four players have been kept on standby in case someone from the selected 12 gets injured. Here is the list of full Himachal Pradesh men's team for the Senior National Kabaddi Championships 2020.
