Haryana Government is all set to host 3rd edition of Pandit Deen Dayal Updhyay Memorial All India National Style Kabaddi Championship, cash award of Rs. 1 Crore would be given to the winning team. Haryana and Services respectively were the champions of the inaugural and 2nd edition of the tournament.
12 teams would participate in the Pandit Deen Dayal Updhyay Memorial All India National Style Kabaddi Championship to be held from 22nd to 24th February at Hisar Haryana. Cash awards of Rs. 1 crore, Rs. 50 lakh and Rs. 25 lakh would be given away to the teams bagging the first three positions respectively.
The 12 teams includes best eight teams of the latest Senior National Kabaddi Championships and best 4 teams of the latest professional National Kabaddi Championships.
The tournament will be as per the AKFI guidelines and the rules of Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) would be applicable. Athletes who weigh 85 kgs or less would be eligible to participate in the tournament and the tournament would be organised on mats.
