Shrikant Jadhav’s 12-point performance lifted the UP Yoddha to their second consecutive win, a 38-36 win that went all the way till the final minute at the Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna.

The Yoddha were struck a major blow ahead of the game as skipper Rishank Devadiga was ruled out with an injury. However, his absence was camouflaged by Jadhav’s top show, which in alliance with skipper Prashant Rai kept the Yoddha in the hunt.

In a game that was graced with style and perseverance, Jadhav’s raiding prowess was on display throughout and in particular in the Do-or-Die raid in the final minute as the UP raider powered through a tackle from Delhi’s most experienced defenders, the duo of Joginder Narwal and Ravinder Pahal as he got the lead back to the Yoddha which ultimately proved as the decisive raid in the outcome of the game.
