Pro Kabaddi League Season 10/ PKL 10 is back and is all set to attract more crowds than the previous season. PKL 9 was undoubtedly a big success, and with several other Kabaddi tournaments, including Asia championships, taking place this year, The 10th edition of Vivo Pro Kabaddi Season is likely to make more heads turn.
Beginning in 2014, Pro Kabaddi League is undoubtedly one of the most popular leagues in the country. In fact, the numbers say that they are the second most popular franchise league in the country after Men's IPL.
PKL 10 Starting Date:
The 10th edition of Pro Kabaddi League is all set to take place in the final quarter of 2023. The tournament is likely to take place in November-December month since we do not have any other time window to fit in. Earlier, the auction was rumoured to take place in mid-June, but it looks like it might take place in August.
It is very likely that the auction might happen right after the Khelo India Games and Junior Kabaddi League as the best players from these leagues might have a shot here as well.
Also, the Indian team is currently sweating out in the camp for the upcoming international assignment. The Asian Kabaddi Championship 2023 will be held in Busan, Republic of Korea in June. The tournament returns after six years and will take place from June 27 to 30.
India are the defending champions, having beaten Pakistan in the final in 2017. The team has won seven gold medals from the eight editions played so far.
Star Sports, which owns the broadcasting rights for the Pro Kabaddi League, also owns the right to Men's Cricket World Cup. The World Cup which will take place in India is likely to be prioritized by the media. Therefore, in order to avoid any conflict of interest, the organizers might opt for the November-December window.

Pro Kabaddi League usually sees an auction which lasts for a couple of days. The dates for the upcoming auction are yet to be announced as well. At the moment, there are not many details regarding the auction dates, teams retained players and the date for the Pro Kabaddi League.
However, we believe that the auction would take place in August month. The last couple of years witnessed the auction in the month of August, and the auction could happen in a similar way this year as well.
