The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is all set to make a grand celebration of its 10th anniversary. To add to the excitement, the much-awaited player auction for the 11th season will be held on Independence Day, the 15th and 16th of August, in Mumbai.

Just a decade ago, the league kicked off with a thrilling match between U Mumba and Jaipur Pink Panthers in the same city. Since then, PKL has grown by full steam, becoming the second sports league in India to complete 10 successful seasons. This remarkable achievement showcased the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in the league, from players to organizers.

To mark this special occasion, the organizers, Mashal Sports, unveiled a new Pro Kabaddi League logo. Inspired by the Indian flag, the logo features the colours saffron and green, highlighting the sport's status as a national pride.

Announcing the player auction date, Anupam Goswami, the League Commissioner, expressed his excitement. He said, "We are thrilled to host the PKL Season 11 player auction on Independence Day. Kabaddi is a sport with a rich history in India, and through PKL, we have showcased it on a global platform. This is a proud moment for all of us involved in the kabaddi ecosystem."

The PKL has been instrumental in transforming the image of kabaddi. It has not only given a platform to Indian players to shine but has also inspired other countries to develop their kabaddi leagues.

With the player auction just around the corner, fans can expect intense bidding and the formation of exciting new teams. As the league enters its 11th season, expectations are high for more thrilling matches, record-breaking performances, and the continued growth of the Kabaddi.

The PKL has undoubtedly come a long way, and with initiatives like the new logo and the Independence Day auction, it is clear that the league is committed to strengthening its position as one of India's most beloved sports leagues.
