PKL Season 10: How Should Patna Pirates Starting 7 Lineup Look For Their Second Battle Against Gujarat Giants

The Patna Pirates, who are the only team to win the Pro Kabaddi League title three times and that too consecutively in the league’s history, have rightfully started their Season 10 campaign on a winning note. Their opening fixture was against the Telugu Titans, where they showed no mercy and beat them by a score of 50-28. It was a complete team performance from the Pirates, who will now face the home team, the Gujarat Giants, in their second game of the tournament.

In the auction this year, the Patna Pirates spent heavily on acquiring some big names, such as the raider Manjeet, for a whopping amount of INR 92 lakh. You can find out below what their starting seven for this fixture look like:

1. Center: Sachin Tanwar

Sachin has been associated with the Patna Pirates for multiple seasons now, and he has been their lead raider since then. In the opening fixture, Sachin was at his absolute best, scoring 14 raid points and giving away nothing to the Telugu Titans defenders.

2. Left Cover: Sajin Chandrasekar

This Category C all-rounder Sajin Chandrasekar was acquired by the Patna Pirates franchise for his base price of INR 13 lakh for this season. He has been appointed with the responsibility of the left cover position on the kabaddi mat.

3. Right Cover: Neeraj Kumar

Patna Pirates’ captain, Neeraj Kumar, who was also a retained player in the team, has begun season 10 on a fantastic note. He did some really good tackles and managed to get four points under his belt in the match against the Telugu Titans.

4. Left Corner: Krishan Dhull

Having played for the Dabang Delhi team in the previous season of the Pro Kabaddi League, left corner defender Krishan Dhull is donning the Patna jersey this season in the same position. He took two tackle points in the initial game.

Sandeep Kumar will be playing the role of a support raider for Manjeet and Sachin in this Patna Pirates team. He will play in the left position alongside Krishan Dhull.

Having been injured in previous seasons, Manjeet is finally back on the kabaddi mat and has started showing his talent from the first match itself. He was phenomenal during the whole game, as he took seven raid points and also did an amazing tackle from the right position.
