PKL 2024: Three rules of Pro Kabaddi League that need to change before PKL 11

However, it is difficult that these rules can be changed in the coming season itself.

Bonus points should be given if the team wins by a big margin

In the PKL, the winning team gets a total of 5 points in the match and 3 points when the match is drawn. And if a team loses by a margin of 7 points or less, it gets 1 point. Similarly, if the team wins by a big margin should also get additional bonus points. If you think rationally, this rule also needs a change.

Additional reviews should also be given during league matches

During the league matches of the Pro Kabaddi League, one review is given to both teams, which they can use during the match. In addition, for knockout matches, each team gets one review in each half of the game i.e. a total of two reviews during the match. Perhaps this rule needs a change. There have been occasions when referees have also made wrong decisions. In such a situation, the team has to bear the brunt of it. Additionally, teams should also get an additional review in league matches and there must be provision to take all reviews simultaneously instead of giving one review per half in knockout matches. The additional review could lead to a drastic reduction in the mistakes made by the referee and the team.

Foreign players in playing 7

Currently, according to the rules of Pro Kabaddi League, the entire squad of the team can consist of a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 4 foreign players. At the same time, there is no rule regarding the minimum number of foreign players when it comes to the playing-7 of the team during the PKL match. Due to this, no other person gets a chance to play in addition to a big foreign player in the squad. There should be a change in the rules regarding inclusion of foreign players in the playing 7 so others can get a chance to play continuously and possibly make a big improvement in their game.
