PKL 11: Top Raiders Who Will Be Retained in Pro Kabaddi Season 11
There is speculation that the Pro Kabaddi League season 11 (PKL 11) might start in July. Meanwhile, the auction of PKL 11 might held at the end of May, when the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be over. Ahead of the PKL 11 auction, some raiders will get retained by their respective franchise based on their performance in PKL 10.
Ashu Malik
Ashu Malik was the best raider for Dabang Delhi and the best raider of the season with 276 raid points. He has 9 super raids and 15 super 10s to his name and won 'Green Arm Band' which is given to the 'Raider of the Season'. He was also the best at do-or-die raid points, of which he had 41. At the start of the PKL 10 Naveen Kumar was the captain of Dabang Delhi, but unfortunately he got injured and was ruled out of the tournament. In that tough time, Ashu Malik stood up and took the responsibility of captaincy. He did pretty well as a skipper and took his team to the playoffs stage of the tournament.
Arjun Deshwal
The talismanic raider of the Jaipur Pink Panthers, Arjun Deshwal has 276 raid points to his name. He played an important role in taking his team to two back-to-back playoffs (PKL 9 and PKL 10) of the tournament. In PKL 10 he was the only raider of the team who was scoring points consistently, he has an average of 12 raid points per match. He has 17 Super 10s, 7 Super raids, and 36 do-or-die raid points.
Sachin Tanwar
The specialist in running hand touches, Sachin Tanwar was the captain of Patna Pirates and took his team to the semifinal stage of the tournament. While doing so he amassed an impressive 171 raid points in 22 matches. He has 7 Super 10s and 38 do-or-die raid points.
Vinay
The young raider Vinay showcased immense maturity and played a key role in taking his team (Haryana Steelers) to the final of the PKL 10. From the start of the season, Vinay led their offence and became the main raider of the team. He amassed 163 raid points in 23 matches with 6 Super 10s and 6 super raids.
Guman Singh
Guman Singh has now become a mainstay for U Mumba. He led the U Mumba's raiding department and scored points when it needed the most. Guman scored 163 raid points in 18 matches. He also has 9 Super 10s and 6 super raids to his name. Despite his brilliance, Mumba failed to qualify for the playoffs.
These are just some of the names but ahead of PKL 11, many raiders will get retained by their respective franchises. Notably, PKL 11 auction is a much-anticipated event in the Kabaddi fraternity, where franchises will bid for impressive talents and build a strong team.
