PKL 10: Bengal Warriors Probable Playing 7 vs UP Yoddhas, Can They Stay On Top?
Bengal Warriors are currently sitting at the top of the points table in season 10 of the Pro Kabaddi league. The Bengal team has been unstoppable and played some exceptional level of kabaddi. Out of the five matches that they have played, Bengal Warriors have managed to win three, draw one, and have lost only one match. They have 18 points and a score difference of exactly zero. Their next match of PKL 10 will be against the U.P. Yoddhas on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. IST at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Pune.
1. Center: Maninder Singh
Maninder Singh, who had 238 raid points at the end of the previous season, got off to a solid start this year with a super 10 and an impressive showing in the opening game. Maninder has performed admirably this season, amassing 45 raid points thus far.
2. Left Cover: Darpan
Darpan, who was unfortunate enough to be absent from his team's opening game of the season, returned for the second game and performed admirably. More significantly, he did not make any advanced tackles while still earning two tackle points. Darpan was only able to score one tackle point in the previous game.
3. Right Cover: Vaibhav Garje
Having played with the Bengal Warriors for several seasons, Vaibhav Garje was in reasonable form for the first game. He managed to pick up two tackle points out of the four tackles that were attempted. Vaibhav fell short of his team's hopes in the previous game by failing to record a single point during the contest.
4. Left Corner: Aditya S.
Aditya S. has not been anywhere near to his best this season. His performances have not been up to the mark which is concerning. He would be keen on performing well in this match as it will probably be his last chance this season.
5. Right Corner: Shubham Shinde
Shubham Shinde, who was his team's top defender and registered four tackle points in the first game, was unable to score more in the second meeting. Bengal spent a lot of cash at the auction on defenders. One of the well-known names they bought was Shubham Shinde, for whose services they paid INR 32.25 lakh. He finished the previous game with two points.
6. Left In: Shrikant Jadhav
Following a poor start and three raid points in the opening game, Shrikant Jadhav utterly dismantled the Jaipur defense in the second game, taking seven points overall. In the last match though, he failed again scoring only one point.
7. Right In: Nitin Kumar
For the Bengal team, Nitin Kumar started the second game on the mat. He had a great game, scoring five raid points and expertly setting up Shrikant. In the previous game, he scored four raid points.
Probable starting 7 of the Bengal Warriors against the U.P. Yoddhas: Maninder Singh (c), Darpan, Vaibhav Garje, Aditya S, Shubham Shinde, Shrikant Jadhav, and Nitin Kumar. If the Bengal Warriors manage to win this game as well, they will remain on the top of the league standings.
