Bihar Women's Kabaddi League 2024: Siwan Titans and Saran Strikers Enter Qualifiers, Magadh Warriors Eliminated

The Bihar Women’s Kabaddi League 2024 is underway in the Patliputra Sports Complex. The teams are now vying for the chance to move to the next round- the semifinals. In the morning session of the June 14 the 3 thrilling matches were played between teams Siwan Titans, Saran strikers and Sitamarhi Sentinels won their respective matches.

Siwan Titans & Saran Strikers have qualified for the next round of Bihar Women's Kabaddi League 2024. This implies that now 3 teams except Magadh will vie for the spot in the semifinals.

The Sitamarhi Sentinels triumphed against Magadh Warriors with a 43-21 win. This helped them climb to the 3rd position in the league rankings. That took them up the table and right into the middle of a possible semifinals row. Suruchi Kumari of Team Sitamarhi Sentinels emerged as the Best Raider with 15 raid points. Anjali kumari scored 9 tackle points and bagged the Best Defender title.

In another match, Nalanda Ninjas produced an impressive performance to beat the Siwan Titans by 34-18. This saw them being ranked 4th in the league. Nalanda Ninjas’ Nancy Priya who scooped the best raider award with a total 13 raid points. Mani Kumari from Siwan Titans, was successful in getting 5 tackle points each and she was awarded as best defender of the match.

Been the favorites in the league before starting the match, Patna Pelicans were brought down as they lost to the Saran Strikers 21-18. Patna Pelicans’ Gunjan Chauhan bagged the Best Raider title with a raid score of 6; on the other hand, Saran Strikers’ Anushka Kumari got the Best Defender award with 8 tackle points.

Magadh Warriors, as unfortunate as it may seem, had lost their chance of qualification to the semifinals when they lost to Sitamarhi Sentinels. Regrettably, though they tried hard enough, they could not score sufficient score to move to the subsequent phase of the competition.

Now, the matches will be played between Sitamarhi Sentinels, Nalanda Ninjas, and Patna Pelicans on June 14. The winners of this match will qualify as the next two teams that are expected to play in the semifinals with Siwan Titans and Saran Strikers. 

The excitement is expected to be on high while the Bihar Women’s Kabaddi League 2024 reaches the semifinals. This means that the remaining three teams will be fighting for two positions.
