Haryana Junior National Girls Tournament got off to a spectacular start as the fans witnessed nail-biting action on the first day of the tournament. The matches were played at Kalinga Village in Bhiwani. The players who are under 20 years of age are eligible to compete in this tournament and the weight limit for the girls category was 65 kg. 

Results Summary

The runners-up of the previous edition Hisar's first match ended in an agonizing loss to Kaithal. The team lost 23-22 and the match was by and far the closest match of the day. The other seven matches played were fairly one-sided. Panchkula clinched victory against Yamunagar by 36-17 in the first match of the day.

 Hosts Bhiwani got off to a winning start against Mewat while Sonipat trounced Rewari 43-15. 

Ambala and Mahendargarh were the best sides of the day. Ambala won by 36-6 against Sirsa while Mahendargarh defeated Charkhi Dadri 22-0. Gurugram lost to Jhajjar by 16-28. Faridabad won the match 38-30 against Jind
