The most awaited game of POOL A took place on day 3, as the opening game of the day. The stakes were high, with some high-quality players both on display for both sides. Vinay for NK Academy and Meetu for Bhaini School the star raiders who were leading the stats chart in the raid points table. NK Academy came into this match with a record of being undefeated and was sitting at the top of the pool meanwhile Bhaini School came in with 2 wins and 1 loss and was close behind in 3rd place.
Rakesh started the raid for NK Academy and scored the first points of the match by crossing the bonus line. Vinay and Meetu also started scoring points off their raids. Both team's defenses were showing some signs of early nervousness as they kept missing their tackles. The scorecard showed 7-4 in favor of NK Academy.
But soon during the 15th raid, Jaideep took out Vinay for Bhaini School, and Meetu was also closed down as NK academy defense made a combined effort to stop him in his tracks.
Vinay had a slow start during the first half of the game as he was finding it difficult to score some points. On the other hand, Rakesh was in the full grove as he was doing the major chunk of scoring for his team and made a super raid. NK academy Umesh pulled an all-out soon, giving a lead of 10 points as Nk Academy was 20 points to Baini school 10 points. Some tactical gameplay followed as both teams were looking to close out as soon the first half whistle followed as the scoreline showed 22 -13 in favor of NK Academy as Rakesh proved to be the difference-maker of the first as he scored 6 raid points for his team.
The second half started with Meetu scoring a quick point of his raid followed by Rakesh being dashed down out of bounds by Vikas.
But NK Academy dense soon started canceling out Meetu and Mohit as Manish and Krishna made some brave tackles and were backed up by their teammates as Rakesh continued his excellent first-half showing with another multi point raid.
Vinay also started showing signs of improvement in the 2nd half as NK Academy soon extend their lead by 17 points by the midpoint of the 2nd half. This lead was further extended to 25 points as Bhaini School conceded another all out and the chances of coming back looked slim as only 4 mins left in the clock.
During the last few minutes, NK academy raiders wined down the clock as they knew their lead was too big to catch for Bhaini school as the game ended with NK Academy 49 - 24 Bhaini School.
With this win, NK academy became the first team to qualify for the super 6 and stayed at the top of their POOL.
