Indian Kabaddi players showed their support to the healthcare workers who are working in through the day to fight the corona virus. The 'light a candle' initiative by Prime Minister Narendra Modi got massive support from the people of the country as well as the Kabaddi fraternity. Kabaddi star came forward to light diyas at their homes and show their gratitude.
Former captain of the Indian Kabaddi team and the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup winner Anup Kumar joined millions of Indians to light the diya at his home. He was accompanied by his family. In an Instagram post, Anup said, "Amid the darkness spread by the corona pandemic, we must continuously progress towards light and hope." His teammate from the World Cup, Nitin Tomar, also participated in the initiative along with his entire family.

Jaipur Pink Panthers' skipper Deepak Niwas Hooda and his family lit the mobile torches to show their support to the initiative by the PM. Young sensation Naveen Kumar Goyat also lit diyas as a part of the campaign. U Mumba all-rounder Sandeep Narwal sent out a message to his fans that the entire country will fight against the corona virus and stand with the PM in his #9baje9minute campaign.
India has been fighting corona virus and the whole country has been put under lockdown from the 25th of March. The 21-day lockdown will be ending on 14th April 2020. Currently, the confirmed cases of COVID-19 have gone past 4000 mark in the country, with more than 100 deaths due to the pandemic.
