The day 1 of the Senior National Kabaddi Championship 2020 ended with full of enthusiasm and exciting encounters for everyone to watch. With Tamil Nadu defeating a star stud team of Haryana and the hosts Rajasthan taming the West Bengal team, the men's encounters saw some surprises and some obvious scores.
Taking place at the Poornima University, the 67th edition of the Senior National Kabaddi Championships kicked off on 2nd March. The tournament will go on till the 6th of March and has participation from 61 teams across men's and women's categories.
The second day of the tournament will see further league matches being played. Defending champions, Railways Sports Promotion Board, will be in action as they take on Jharkhand in the first match in the morning and Gujarat in the evening session. Last year's runner-ups Sevices will play their second league match as they take Assam in Pool B encounter.
In the women's category, Indian Railways will play Tamil Nadu women's team while hosts Rajasthan will be up against Telangana.
