The Khelo India University Games 2020 league matches ended on the 28th of February, giving us the four semifinalists in the men's and the women's categories. The semifinals for both will be played on the 29th of February 2020, followed by the finals on the 1st of March.
The Kabaddi matches of the 1st Khelo India University Games are being held at the KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. We would be getting the finalists on Saturday for the first edition of the tournament.
Both the teams of the Kurukshetra University made it to the final four of the tournament. The men's team of the Universiry won their match against Chaudhari Bansilal University after the later forfeited the match. However, they lost their final league match against Guru Nanak University 44-52, winning two of their three league games.
They will be up against Mangalore University in the first semifinals of the day. Mangalore University had to face a defeat in their last league match against the Maharshi Dayanand University, who ended the tournament with a win.
In the second semifinals in the men's division, Guru Nanak University will be up against the Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Guru Nanak University have remained unbeaten in the league stage. On the other hand, Shivaji University have won two of their three league games.
The women's division will see HO University take on the Hemchand Yadav University in the first semifinals. HP University have not lost a single league match and have topped their pool. In the second semis, MD University will be facing the Kurukshetra University for a place in the finals.
