The Haryana Steelers will face off against Bengal Warriors in their tenth match of Pro Kabaddi League season 7 in New Delhi on Monday, 26 August. Haryana are high on confidence after triumphing against U Mumba in a tough contest in their previous match. The Steelers will look to continue their good form in the upcoming games.
Haryana’s defender Ravi Kumar said that the team executed its plans well in the match against U Mumba.
"We executed our plans well against U Mumba. We followed everything our coach told us to do. We focused on our defensive game prior to the match against U Mumba. We practised on improving our skills before the match and worked out how to tackle each raider in the U Mumba side. Since it was a tough contest, we have gained even more confidence after our victory against U Mumba. We believe that we can win tough contests," said Ravi.
Haryana Steelers and Bengal Warriors faced off only once against each other in the last season and the former won the match 35-33. Haryana will be certainly looking to hold the upper hand when they face Bengal in this season.
The Steelers will have to be wary of Bengal Warriors’ raider Maninder Singh and all-rounder Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibaksh. The Iranian has the ability to raid from both sides of the mat. However, Haryana’s Ravi expressed that the team is analysing the Bengal Warriors players to devise a strategy ahead of their match-up.
"We are analysing the Bengal Warriors players. Our coach is teaching us skills during practice to prepare for the upcoming match. We will sit down and work out a strategy," said Ravi.
