UP Yoddha and Telugu Titans share the spoils 20-20 in a tight encounter

Match 21 of Vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 7 resulted in the first tie of the Season as UP Yoddha and Telugu Titans engaged each other in a tightly-contested match at the Dome, NSCI, SVP Stadium in Mumbai on Friday. Titans' lead raider, Siddharth Desai started off by dismissing Left Cover, Sumit to which UP Yoddha countered through Monu Goyat's dismissal of Farhad Milaghardan.

The first 10 minutes witnessed a brilliant display of raids by Telugu Titans as the Desai brothers - Siddharth and Suraj complemented each others' raids very well to propel their team to a 7-3 lead. With 8 minutes to go for the Half Time, UP Yoddha raced back to level terms as two of UP Yoddha's raiding trio, Monu Goyat and Shrikant Jadhav, picked up points in their respective Do or Die Raids and the defense, thanks to Nitesh Kumar and Sumit, racked up a couple of Tackle Points.

Subsequently, Titans restored their 4-point lead on the back of some all-round displays by Farhad Milaghardan.
With UP Yoddha down to three players on the mat and the score at 11-7, an efficient Super Tackle by Amit Narwal on Suraj Desai prevented further damage to his side. Soon after, Shrikant Jadhav dismissed Vishal Bharadwaj in the following Do or Die Raid, to reach the Half Time on level terms, with the score at 11-11.

The opening minutes of the Second Half saw both the teams going at each other hit by hit, with raids being countered with efficient tackles and tackles being overcome by some brilliant raiding displays. With the score levelled at 15-15, Telugu Titans gained the upper hand in the match when captain - Abozar Mighani racked up 2 Tackle Points, bringing down Yoddha's Mohsen Maghsoudloujafari and Monu Goyat and star raider Siddharth Desai picked up a raid point in his Do or Die Raid, dismissing Sumit once again.

UP Yoddha fought their way back to level-terms in the contest as Nitesh Kumar brought down Titans' lead raider Siddharth Desai in a Super Tackle following which Shrikant Jadhav dismissed their captain, Abozar in another one of his Do or Die Raids. With barely 2 minutes left to go, both the sides remained evenly matched.

Following a few cautious empty raids from both the teams, the match went down to the final raid of the match. Titans' lead raider, Siddharth Desai stepped in for the ultimate raid with the score level at 19-19, and in his raid attempt, caused UP Yoddha's Left Cover, Sumit to step out of the bounds making it an apparent victory for Telugu Titans.

Following that, the Titans' players rushed onto the mat in celebrations before the match referee could signal the end of match. As a result, UP Yoddha were rewarded a technical point, causing the match to end in a tie at 20-20.
