The seventh edition of Prokabaddi League is set to be held between July 19th-October 9th. Seasons 5 and 6 were held between October and January; the reason for the change in dates is the overlap with the festival window, mentioned League commissioner Anupam Goswami.
Prokabaddi League is one of the few thriving leagues in India; Star Sports and Mashal Sports are striving to maintain the momentum going into the 7th season. The previous season saw a dip in TV viewership and the league is hoping for a turn around in season 7 with the change in window.
Team purses increased by 10% in PKL7 auctions to 4.4 crores. April 8th and 9th saw 199 players being bought to become a part of 12 franchisees.
Looking forward to another exciting season of PKL.
