4 Days, 56 teams, 102 matches, 45th Junior Nationals Kabaddi Championship kicked off yesterday at Kolkata. With 27 girls team, 29 boys team, 33 and 39 league stage matches respectively, this is a four day extravaganza for the Kabaddi lovers.
On the first day of Championship in girls section, Sports India, Haryana, Uttarpradesh, Maharashtra, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Chandigarh, Chattisgarh and in boys section, Sports India, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Haryana, Kerala, Delhi, Pondicherry, Telangana, Odisha emerged winners.
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Indoor Stadium is all decked-up, total 102 matches will be played in 4 days. Teams has been divided into 8 pools, winner and runner-ups from each pool will qualify for the pre-quarters which will be a knock-out, winners will play the quarter finals.

The Championship has been organized by West Bengal state unit, affiliated to Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI), More than 600 players + coaches and members of various kabaddi associations, from different states are participating in the championship.
Arrangements have been made for lodging, boarding and refreshment of the participating teams and their associates. Volunteers have been assigned tasks to oversee safety and comfort of all the participating teams.
