Sumit Singh was born on 15th June 1996 in Sonepat, Haryana. Sonepat is known for producing some of the greatest players Kabaddi has ever seen and Sumit's case was no exception. He had witnessed many great players from his village achieving various accolades. Sumit started playing Kabaddi from a young age and participated in various local tournaments. He currently plays as a left raider for Bengaluru Bulls.
Sumit Singh PKL Career
He received the opportunity to trial for PKL teams for his stellar performances during local tournaments. Bengaluru Bulls saw the talent in raiding for this young and energetic raider and picked him in their Season 4 team. He was noticed for his performance in the All India University Games in 2017 and was retained by Bengaluru Bulls in Season 5, 6 and 7. He was able to showcase his worth as a raider in Season 7 as the coach put the trust on him and deputed him to Pawan Sehrawat. He scored 66 points in 20 matches serving as an able team player and contributed in tackles as well.
Skills
He is a utility raider with a lot of skills but excels in hand touch and has been used many times in do or die raids. His signature move is the slow start to the raid with a sudden burst of acceleration taking the defenders by surprise and a swift hand touch to get a point or two.
