After six consecutive matches without a success, Telugu Titans registered their first triumph of the Pro Kabaddi 2019 as they crushed Gujarat Fortune Giants 30-26 at the EKA Arena by TransStadia in Ahmedabad. The defensive unit of the Titans was a treat for the eyes as they went on to get 16 tackle points in the match. Vishal Bhardwaj was the most impressive player for them as he went on to score a High 5 on his way to pick up seven tackle points from seven attempted tackles.

Siddharth Desai contributed with significant seven raid points for the Titans to hand Gujarat Fortune Giants their fourth consecutive loss of this season. Siddharth has supported his brother Suraj as the Desai duo got their team to a good start with consecutive successful raids. The Titans inflicted an all-out on Gujarat Fortune Giants in the seventh minute of the game, to take a marginal lead in the first half. Incidentally, it was also the first all-out that the Titans had inflicted over any team in this season of the PKL.

The Giants' defense looked totally out of place as they failed to win a single tackle point in the first 10 minutes of the game. Their only silver lining was Parvesh Bhainswal who picked up seven tackle points from eight tackles.
With this loss, Gujarat have fallen down to fourth place in the Pro Kabaddi Points Table. They will next face Bengal Warriors on Wednesday in their third home match. Titans will be up against the Warriors on Monday, 12th August and are still at the bottom of the Points Table with 10 points.
