K7 Kabaddi UP League: Top 5 Defenders Who Ruled the Mat
The K7 Kabaddi UP League held at BK Kabaddi Academy in Meerut from April 15th to 23rd, 2024 saw some thrilling actions. Kashi Yoddhas won the title of the tournament, they defeated BK Warriors in the final. Meanwhile, Kashi's defender Lucky plays a key role in making them champion but there are some other defenders as well who played an important role in the success of their respective teams.
1. Gaurav Bansal
Gaurav Bansal, who donned the jersey of Jhansi Fighters, topped the chart. He scored 36 tackle points in a total of 51 tackles he has initiated. Gaurav played a crucial role in taking his team to the playoffs.
2. Lucky
From the start of the tournament, Lucky was in great form and was consistently scoring points for his team. His points tally matches with the top defender of the league (36 points) but Lucky took 2 tackles more (53 tackles) than Gaurav (51 tackles). He was the key player in the team's winning run.
3. Mayank Malik
Mayank Malik scored 35 tackle points in 51 tackles he has initiated. He was the teammate of Lucky, who eventually won the tournament. Mayank was also a crucial player in making Kashi Yoddhas the champion of K7 Kabaddi UP League.
4. Nitin Singh
Nitin Singh played an important role in taking his team Prayagraj Titans to the playoffs stage. He scored 34 tackle points in just 47 attempts. With more experience, we'll see Nitin on the national or international stage.
5. Ronak
Ronak from BK Warriors completes the top 5 defenders list of the K7 Kabaddi UP League. He scored 33 tackle points in 46 attempts and impressed everyone with his aggressive defensive style.
The K7 Kabaddi UP League provided a much bigger platform to these young Kabaddi players. Now, that the season is over, these players will be looking to participate in the national tournament or will be aiming to improve their skills.
